In Memoriam: Brad R. Godshall, 1957-2010

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of our good friend and colleague, Brad R. Godshall.  Brad's contributions to the Firm and his community were immeasurable, and we are deeply grateful for the many years we shared with him.  He will be greatly missed.  Brad's fight against brain cancer affected all of us profoundly; he faced this tragic turn with remarkable equanimity, displaying the keen intellect, sharp wit and deep faith for which we will remember him.

Brad's intelligence and creativity earned him recognition as one of the bankruptcy community's most outstanding lawyers.  He joined the Firm in 1992, after ten years of practice at Latham & Watkins, which he joined after graduating cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.  He was born in Sellersville, PA in 1957, and graduated summa cum laude from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA.  Brad was proud of his Pennsylvania roots, and was a singularly avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones: his wife, Patty, his children, Shoshanna Boctor, Jason Kenoyer, Jacob Godshall, Matthew Godshall and Sara Godshall, his father, Robert Godshall, his sisters, Shanin Macaluso, Tanya Neuman, Jami Godshall, his brother, Grey Godshall, and his son in law, David Boctor.

Services will take place Sunday, April 11, at 2:30 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, 3700 East Sierra Madre Boulevard, Pasadena, California.

In lieu of flowers, the Godshall family has requested that a donation be made to the National Brain Tumor Society.  The following link takes you to the page used for making a donation in honor of a loved one:  https://secure2.convio.net/bts/site/Donation2?1760.donation=form1&df_id=1760
