Acted as counsel involved in the demutualization of Equitable Life Assurance Society of America, representing and successfully obtaining a significant enhancement for the American Bar Retirement Association in the distribution of Equitable's assets.
Executive Life Insurance Company
Acted as counsel to holders of over $750 million in group pension annuity contracts issued by Executive Life Insurance Company of California in one of the nation's largest life-insurance conservatorships.
Xerox Corporation
Acted as counsel to Xerox in multi-million dollar actions that focused on the rights of plan participants to receive guaranty coverage, and represented certain policyholders and brokers in the insolvency of Inter-American Life.
Farmers Insurance Group
Acted as counsel to Farmers Commonwealth Insurance Company and certain underwriters at Lloyds in complex reinsurance disputes.
Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company
As counsel participating on the steering committee for the pension group contract holders in the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company conservation proceeding.
Mutual Life of New York
Acted as counsel to pension policyholders in a trial with Mutual Life of New York, resulting from its attempted unilateral restructuring of insurance contracts.
