Steve Golden Named Editor-in-Chief of the Norton Journal of Bankruptcy Law & Practice

October 30, 2026

We are pleased to share that Steve Golden has been named Editor-in-Chief of the Norton Journal of Bankruptcy Law & Practice. Published by Thomson Reuters, the journal launched in 1991 as the Journal of Bankruptcy Law and Practice and took its current name in 2006. It is part of the Norton family of bankruptcy publications that began in 1982 and offers in-depth analysis of bankruptcy law for judges, practitioners, and academics.

Steve has contributed to the Norton publications for over a decade. Most recently, he covered professional fees after the Supreme Court’s ASARCO decision in Norton Journal of Bankruptcy Law and Practice (34:3), “The DAO Dilemma: Legal Identity and Asset Recovery in a Decentralised World.” He has also written on the Caulkett ruling surrounding lien stripping in chapters 11 and 13 for the Journal, as well as legal identity and asset recovery for decentralized autonomous organizations. Steve has authored the annual “Second Circuit Review” for the Norton Bankruptcy Law Adviser regularly since 2016 and the “Sections 327 Through 330” chapter on professional compensation for the Norton Annual Survey of Bankruptcy Law.

As an ABA delegate to UNCITRAL Working Group V, a member of the Executive Committee of the International Insolvency Institute’s NextGen program, and a member of both ABI’s 2025 and GRR’s 2026 40 Under 40 classes, Steve brings an invaluable domestic and cross-border perspective on bankruptcy that will serve the Journal’s readers well.

Congratulations, Steve, on this well-deserved appointment.
