EP Energy—an independent exploration and production company engaged in the acquisition and development of unconventional onshore oil and natural gas properties in the U.S.—had more than $1.3 billion in operating revenue prior to the chapter 11 filing. The debtors obtained court approval of their reorganization plan that deleveraged their balance sheet by over $4 billion and preserved over 450 jobs.
