Representation of the creditors’ committee in the chapter 11 case of ERG Resources in the Northern District of Texas. ERG produced crude oil and natural gas in the Cat Canyon Oil Field in Santa Barbara County and filed for bankruptcy with the intention of selling substantially all of its assets. The committee reached agreements with the debtor and the secured lender in the case that enhanced recoveries for unsecured creditors.
