Representation of the creditors’ committee of the  the chapter 11 case of the parent company of Executive Life Insurance Company and Executive Life Insurance Company of New York. As counsel for the creditors’ committee in the bankruptcy proceedings, with unsecured debt, includ­ing contingent claims, in the billions of dollars, the firm took the lead role in negotiating a committee-sponsored plan of reorganization that was confirmed less than eighteen months after the bankruptcy was filed.
