Representation of White Eagle Asset Portfolio and its affiliated debtors in their chapter 11 cases in the District of Delaware. Affiliates of Emergent Capital (a specialty finance company), the debtors were in the life-settlements industry, owning hundreds of life insurance policies (known as life settlements). With the firm’s assistance, the debtors reached a settlement with their lenders and nondebtor affiliates, sold majority interests in certain debtors, and obtained confirmation of a reorganization plan that left unsecured creditors unimpaired.
