On September 12, 2022, Borrego Community Health Foundation ("Borrego Health") commenced a chapter 11 bankruptcy case in the United States Bankruptcy for the Southern District of California ("Bankruptcy Court"). Judge Laura S. Taylor is the presiding bankruptcy judge. The docket number for the case is 22-02384.
Committee Appointment
On September 26, 2022, the United States Trustee appointed seven members to a committee of unsecured creditors in the Borrego Health case ("Committee"). Current members of the Committee are McKesson Corporation, Greenway Health, We Klean, Mustafa Bilal, DDS, Vista Village Family Dentistry, Vitamin D Public Relations, and Pourshirazi & Youssefi Dental Corporation. The Committee has selected Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP ("PSZJ") as committee counsel; Bankruptcy Court approval of the employment is pending. Jeff Pomerantz is the principal attorney at PSZJ responsible for this engagement.
