This site has been created to provide unsecured creditors with information and to solicit and receive comments from unsecured creditors about the pending chapter 11 bankruptcy cases of Freedom Communications

On October 31, 2015, Freedom Communications and numerous affiliated debtors commenced chapter 11 cases in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California in Santa Ana, California ("Bankruptcy Court"). Judge Mark S. Wallace is the presiding judge. On November 2, the Bankruptcy Court ordered that the cases be jointly administered under case number number 15-15311.

Committee Appointment

On November 10, 2015, the U.S. Trustee appointed members to a committee of unsecured creditors ("Committee") to serve in the cases of Freedom Communications Inc., Freedom Communications Holdings Inc., Freedom Services, Inc. and OCR Community Publications, Inc. The members of the Committee are Associated Press, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, Electronic Business Solutions, Newscycle Solutions, Inland Empire Paper Company, Ponderay Newsprint Company and ACI California, LLC. The Committee has selected Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP ("PSZJ") as committee counsel; Bankruptcy Court approval is pending. Robert Feinstein and Jeffrey Dulberg are the principal attorneys at PSZJ responsible for this engagement.
