How Did We Get Here? Mass Torts and Bankruptcy

Ken Brown will be part of a panel discussion of the resolution of mass-tort litigation such as asbestos and products liability cases via bankruptcy. Most recently, cases involving wildfire damage (PG&E) and sexual misconduct (Boy Scouts, USA Gymnastics) have found their way into bankruptcy courts. The panel will focus on using Bankruptcy Code to settle  mass-tort litigation, funding a mass-tort settlement in bankruptcy, channeling injunctions, third-party releases, and the claims process.
