PSZJ Named in 2024 TMA Chicago/Midwest Turnaround/Transaction of the Year Awards
The firm is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Chicago/Midwest Chapter—the premier nonprofit serving corporate renewal and restructuring professionals—as a winner of the 2024 Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Awards. PSZJ was recognized by the highly competitive and prestigious awards for its work in the chapter 11 bankruptcy of Vital Pharmaceuticals, which was selected as TMA Chicago/Midwest’s Large Transaction of the Year.
Richard M. Pachulski, Teddy M. Kapur, Ira D. Kharasch, and Robert J. Feinstein were the principal members of the PSZJ team representing Monster Beverage Corporation in its acquisition of Vital Pharmaceuticals, the parent company of energy drink brand Bang Energy, for $362 million in Vital Pharmaceuticals’ chapter 11 cases in the Southern District of Florida.
Since 1993, TMA has recognized the most successful turnarounds and impactful transactions industrywide. Each year, the Turnaround/Transaction of the Year Awards are chosen based on a rigorous peer-review process by the volunteer TMA Awards Committee. This process includes extensive diligence of each nominated case. As the judges review all components of each entry, they look for well-defined, measurable outcomes.
The winners of this year’s awards were recognized and celebrated for their achievements at the 2024 TMA Chicago/Midwest 16th Annual Executive Speaker Forum at the Sheraton Grand Chicago.
