Pachulski Stang Selected as Committee Counsel in Jesuit Chapter 11

Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones has been selected to serve as counsel to the committee in the chapter 11 case of The Society of Jesus Oregon Province (embracing a five-state area:  Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho & Montana).  The Society of Jesus (commonly called The Jesuits) is one of the largest religious orders in the Catholic Church. The Oregon Province is one of ten provinces in the United States.

Since 2004, the firm has been involved nationally in representing official creditors’ committees representing the survivors of childhood sexual abuse in chapter 11 cases filed by Roman Catholic Dioceses (Spokane, Washington; Davenport, Iowa; San Diego, California; and Fairbanks, Alaska). The firm has also represented such victims in cases where the parties were able to reach a resolution out of court.
