Pathways Toward Adoption: Practitioner Viewpoints on Need for the MLIJ and How the MLIJ Can Assist in Successful Cross-border Cases

Debra Grassgreen will be speaking at the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law’s (“UNCITRAL”) Conference Dedicated to the 5th Anniversary of the Model Law on Recognition and Enforcement of Insolvency-Related Judgments. The conference, sponsored by the International Insolvency Institute (III) and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, will take place in person on Friday, April 21, 2023, in New York. Ms. Grassgreen and her fellow panelists will discuss the Model Law on Recognition and Enforcement of Insolvency-Related Judgments (MLIJ), which is designed to provide states with a simple, straightforward, and harmonized procedure for recognition and enforcement of insolvency-related judgments.
