Catholic Diocese of Fairbanks

Representation of the creditors’ committee in the chapter 11 case of the Catholic Bishop of Northern Alaska, aka the Diocese of Fairbanks, in the District of Alaska. Geographically, this diocese is the largest Catholic diocese in the United States. The population of childhood sexual abuse survivors consists almost entirely of Native Alaskans resident in rural Alaska. On behalf of the committee, the firm sued the Diocese, the Diocese parishes, and affiliated Catholic entities to establish the scope of property of the estate and to recover avoidable transfers.
