Representation of the creditors’ committee in the chapter 11 bankruptcy of Corsicana Bedding, one of the largest mattress manufacturers, in the Northern District of Texas. The debtor filed for bankruptcy protection in June 2022 due to increased competition in the mattress industry, with plans to sell itself to top lenders. In October 2022, the debtor was acquired through a court-supervised auction under section 363 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The firm was instrumental in securing maximum value for vendors, including a waiver of any preference exposure.
