Fired Up, Inc.

Representation of the creditors’ committee in the 2014 chapter 11 case of Fired Up, Inc. and its affiliates in the Western District of Texas. The debtor owned, operated, and licensed Johnny Carino’s Italian restaurants worldwide, and as of the bankruptcy filing had 42 company-owned restaurants in seven states and 58 franchised/licensed locations in 17 states and four other countries. The creditors’ committee, with the firm’s assistance, negotiated with the debtors a consensual reorganization plan which the committee proposed as co-proponents. The plan resulted in a creditor trust funded with millions of dollars and other assets including certain litigation claims for the benefit of unsecured creditors.
