Representation of the creditors’ committee in the chapter 11 case of Hollander Sleep Products LLC in the Southern District of New York. The Florida-based supplier of pillows, mattress pads, and other bedding products filed for bankruptcy protection with debts of $233,000,000, citing substantial prices increases for materials. The firm was instrumental in keeping Hollander as a going concern, and negotiated a resolution to a difficult situation that not only provided a recovery to the “out of the money” unsecured creditors, but also included waivers of any preference claims.
