True Value Company, LLC

The Firm was counsel to the creditors’ committee in the Delaware chapter 11 cases of True Value Company, LLC and its debtor affiliates.  Founded in 1885, True Value was one of the world’s leading hardware wholesalers, serving 4,500 customers across the U.S. and in approx. 60 countries.  The creditors’ committee, assisted by the Firm, worked to maximize the recovery for unsecured creditors, and ultimately reached the terms of a consensual plan with the debtors (approved by the bankruptcy court in April 2025), under which a litigation trust was established for the benefit of unsecured creditors.
