Representation of Monster Beverage Corporation in its acquisition of Vital Pharmaceuticals (VPX) in VPX’s chapter 11 cases in the Southern District of Florida. Served as counsel to Monster in its acquisition of VPX, the parent company of energy drink brand Bang Energy, for $362 million. Prior to the chapter 11 filing in October 2022, VPX had more than $1.7 billion in liabilities, including Monster’s approximately $500 million in judgments against VPX arising from various lawsuits that posed a significant obstacle to VPX’s financial recovery. PSZJ helped guide Monster through numerous challenges, including regulatory hurdles, legal disputes, value discrepancies, and complex bankruptcy proceedings.
