Laura Davis Jones Named Among ABF Journal’s Inaugural “Legends and Leaders: Trailblazers”

The firm is pleased to announce that ABF Journal has profiled Laura Davis Jones as a “Trailblazer” in its Spring 2025 inaugural “Legends and Leaders” issue. This prestigious list highlights leading female professionals in specialty finance who are paving and reshaping the path for other women in the field.

ABF Journal’s profile delves into Laura’s drive to become a lawyer at a time when women were not proportionally represented in the field.

“While in the 1980s, trial lawyers were predominantly male, my parents did not see any reason why a woman could not be a successful attorney,” Laura tells ABF Journal. “The reality was some clients, and many lawyers, did see a distinction, but I agreed — and still agree — that gender has no bearing on a person’s ability to be an excellent lawyer.”

ABF Journal also spotlights Laura’s induction into the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Hall of Fame, recognition as a Chambers USA “Star Individual,” and status as a Tina Brozman Mentoring Award recipient.

Laura concludes by extending powerful advice to emerging and aspiring attorneys.
