Scott Hazan, resident in the firm’s New York office, has specialized in all aspects of bankruptcy throughout the country for over forty years. His focus over these years is in the representation of official creditors’ committees in major chapter cases. His work, primarily as lead counsel, includes: Open Road Films, Fairway Supermarkets, Kmart, Macy’s, Northwest Airlines, US Airways (I and II), Caldor Department Stores, BiLo Supermarkets, Ames Department stores, Venture Stores, Natrol, Quiznos, Sbarro I, Penn Traffic II and III, Terrestar Networks, Warnaco, Fruit of the Loom Biderman Industries, Readers Digest I and II, and Rotech Healthcare.

Scott holds a BA degree from Queens College of the City University of New York and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School where he was a member of the Brooklyn Law Review and a member of Moot Court. Scott is admitted to practice in New York.
