The Roman Catholic Archbishop of San Francisco

Representation of the creditors’ committee (consisting of nine survivors of child sexual abuse) for the Roman Catholic Archbishop of San Francisco (the Archdiocese of San Francisco). The Archdiocese filed for bankruptcy protection in August 2023 after it was named in over 500 lawsuits alleging child sexual abuse. On April 19, 2024, the Committee filed a response to the Archdiocese’s one-sided declaration regarding its history and reason for filing for bankruptcy.
