Brad Sandler recently spoke at the International Bar Association (IBA)'s Annual Conference in Paris, France, which took place from October 29 to November 3, 2023. Mr. Sandler's panel discussed interesting issues raised in the complex, multijurisdictional restructuring of Cineworld Group. The second largest movie theatre operator in the world with movie theatres in ten countries, Cineworld filed proceedings in September 2022 to restructure over $5+ billion of liabilities in the U.S. and the U.K. The case was the largest chapter 11 proceeding to file in the U.S. in 2022 and proposed a $1.9 billion financing facility.
