The outbreak of COVID-19 has intensified the trend towards simplifying and increasing the flexibility of restructuring and insolvency processes. A mediator can play a critical and facilitative role in streamlining numerous facets of insolvency processes, such as resolving complex creditor disputes, adopting a restructuring plan, and providing parties in crossborder insolvencies with an efficient and uniform framework.
