Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones Named a 2025 “Delaware Regional Powerhouse” by Law360

Law360 September 11, 2025

The firm is pleased to announce that it has once again been recognized as a “Delaware Regional Powerhouse” by Law360. This year’s prestigious recognition “reflects not only the work of exemplary firms but also emerging legal trends.” Awarded to only five law firms in the state, the “Delaware Regional Powerhouse” designiation recognizes PSZJ’s “robust roster of seasoned bankruptcy professionals” and high-profile representations, including debtors Yellow Corp., Sientra Inc. and Synthego Corp., and creditors’ committees for Village Roadshow and 99 Cents Only.

In the firm’s profile, Laura Davis Jones, managing partner of the firm’s Delaware office, described how its “roster of attorneys can wield deep, institutional knowledge of Delaware’s bankruptcy courts and attract clients across industries through its steadfast efforts to get positive results.” Laura highlighted the firm’s frequent presence before Delaware judges, which has earned it a strong reputation for “knowledge about the bench in one of the country’s busiest venues for insolvency cases.”

“It’s just an awful lot of experience and familiarity with the industry, and I think that’s why people keep coming back,” Laura told Law360.

With more than 80 bankruptcy lawyers and five locations, Laura also described the firm as a national boutique without borders, stating, “We come in as specialists, fix the issue, and we leave. People don’t care where we are if we get the job done.” Bradford J. Sandler, co-chair of the firm’s creditors committee practice group, emphasized the firm’s capacity to network between its offices which “enables it to bring its entire staff to the table when representing clients” and “tackle the most intense problems, the bet-the-company problems, very efficiently because of the depth and breadth of experience that we have.”

“We’re involved, in some meaningful way, in virtually every major bankruptcy case, and usually not just in Delaware,” Brad added.

The firm’s profile in Law360 highlighted many of these major cases, such as representing trucking firm Yellow Corp. in its $1.2 billion chapter 11 case; representing breast implant maker Sientra Inc. in its successful reorganization of more than $70 million of debt; leading the chapter 11 case of gene-editing technology company Synthego Corp., which achieved confirmation of a plan to address its $500 million of debt in less than 90 days; representing the committee in the chapter 11 case of retail chain 99 Cents Only Stores LLC; representing the creditors’ committee in the bankruptcy of movie production company Village Roadshow Entertainment that has seen the debtor sell some of its assets for more than $400 million; and representing the ad hoc group of first-lien lenders in the rapid restructuring of Weight Watchers International that addressed more than $1 billion of debt. Brad underscored PSZJ attorneys’ ability to work as generalists, dealing with multiple areas of law and business, explaining, “Many of us can run transactions, we can run litigation, and we know enough to work with colleagues and co-counsel that are focused on transactional work and litigation.”

“At the end of the day, it’s all about finding the most efficient and value-maximizing solutions for our clients,” Brad noted. “It is something we’re passionate about.”
