Ascena Retail Group

This site has been created to provide unsecured creditors with information about the pending chapter 11 bankruptcy cases of Ascena Retail Group and its codebtor affiliates

On July 23, 2020, Ascena Retail Group Inc. and numerous affiliates commenced chapter 11 cases (collectively, the "Ascena Retail cases") in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia ("Bankruptcy Court"). Judge Kevin R. Huennekens is the presiding judge. On the same day, the Bankruptcy Court ordered that the cases be administratively consolidated under case number 20-33113.

Committee Appointment

On August 3, 2020, the United States Trustee appointed a committee of unsecured creditors in the Ascena Retail cases ("Committee"). Current members are The Taubman Company, Snogen Green Co., Amanda Meo, Lakontra International Merchandising, Li &Fung Limited and Washington Prime Group. The Committee has selected Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP ("PSZJ") as counsel; approval of  the employment by the Bankruptcy Court is pending. Jeff Pomerantz, Rob Feinstein, and Brad Sandler are the principal attorneys at PSZJ responsible for this engagement.
